Eden Hazard rescues point for Chelsea as Maurizio Sarri abandons philosophy

The Blues head in to the game tomorrow sitting sixth in the Premier League table but they are just six points adrift of third-placed Tottenham with two games in hand so the race for Champions League qualification is extremely tight.

But after the match, Sarri was forced to concede that Chelsea could live to regret not making the most of their 76 percent possession and 22 attempts at goal.

However Sarri was quick to come to the defence of Jorginho after Eden Hazard's strike save the Blues from the brink of defeat at stoppage time. "We need to recover two points immediately".

"And so if there are no spaces, it's very hard to score if you play with five or six touches against a very physical team with 11 players in the last 20 metres".

Chelsea lost 2-1 to Wolves when the teams faced off in December, in a game that proved to be pretty important. The team could defend in the last 20 metres with 11 players.

He said: "If the other players don't move without the ball, Jorginho is in trouble". "Today was a great opportunity".

The fourth official indicated four minutes of added-on time, and Chelsea equalised soon afterwards to break Wolves' resilience as Hazard found a gap through a pack of players with a 25-yard shot which found the bottom corner. Now we have a hard game away against Everton and we need to win. They didn't counter-attack in the last 20 minutes.

With fifth-placed Arsenal taking on fourth-placed Manchester United at the Emirates in Sunday's 4.30pm kick-off, Chelsea have the ideal opportunity to climb up the table with a win over Wolves in west London.
