Kingsbury on Kyler Murray rumors: 'Josh (Rosen) is our guy'

The most freakishly gifted athlete on the planet right now is 21-year-old baseball outfielder and American football quarterback Kyler Murray. Murray used super agent Scott Boras for his baseball negotiations, but needed to hire someone well-versed on the football side of things.

The plan, as has been talked about but not varified yet is the team will also draft a quarterback and groom them to eventually take over the offense. Whatever the goal, Burkhardt's task will be to make it happen.

Otherwise, his own credibility will be undermined moving forward.

Not even Denver Broncos general manager John Elway - the first overall pick in the 1983 NFL Draft and 52nd overall (second round) pick of the 1981 MLB Draft - can claim that.

Seventeen die in Delhi hotel fire
Officials said the fire started at around 4.30am local time (11.30pm Monday GMT). "This hotel had been built up to six floors". According to the fire officer, the hotel had fire-fighting equipment, but it is not known whether it was functional or not.

The connections drawn-between Kingsbury's previous comments on Murray, in addition to their common representation-provoked the idea that Kingsbury could select the former Sooner with the first pick of the draft in lieu of Arizona already rostering quarterback Josh Rosen.

While speculation that Murray has this sort of leverage, the point is a superb prospect at the most important position of all will enter a draft class lacking at the position. Scott Boras represented Murray in baseball.

"Obviously the fact that he would want to play quarterback, if he chooses the football route, is a little different than Deion or Bo or some of those guys", Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley said in November. The guaranteed money as the last first-round pick is expected to be nearly 85 percent more than the A's signing bonus.

The Jets are open for business with the No. 3 pick, though. The Dolphins are expected to release veteran Ryan Tannehill before the start of the new league year in March. If the pocket collapses he can scramble and extend a play. This quarterback number will be somewhere between $15 million and $15.5 million with first-round picks from 2016. He's spent the better part of four years, preparing for Major League Baseball. It's worth noting the threat of another sport, football, being a viable option could have accelerated the potential baseball payday time table.
