In Parker, the Wizards are taking a flyer on the second-overall pick from the 2014 NBA Draft who has seen his career tail off significantly as a result of two knee injuries that caused him to miss nearly 150 games over his first three seasons.

Porter had joined Wall and shooting guard Bradley Beal to form a young nucleus of lottery draft picks the Wizards were trying to build around.

The Wizards now rid themselves of Porter and the three years and $81 million remaining on his contract.

The move sheds Washington of significant salary, as Porter is owed $26 million this season and $27.2 million in 2019-20.

The Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls have just pulled off pretty big trade.

But he's averaging only 12.6 points and 5.6 rebounds this season while shooting just 36.9 percent on 3-point attempts.

Iraqi president says Trump did not ask permission to 'watch Iran'
What we're doing is got to stop at some point, ' Trump told CBS" "Face the Nation" on Sunday. "We might as well keep it", he said. He also stressed that "it is of fundamental interest for Iraq to have good relations with Iran " and other immediate neighbours.

In the 2018 offseason, Parker signed a two-year $40 million contract with the Bulls, but the second year of the deal is a team option.

Parker's first and only season with the Bulls was a massive disappointment. The 23-year-old will be a restricted free agent this offseason.

Parker has been in and out of the Bulls' rotation recently and the team had reportedly been looking to move him.

Portis, 23, is in his fourth year out of Arkansas and is averaging 14.1 points and 7.3 rebounds in 22 games this season.

In exchange, the Wizards will receive Parker and Portis. He wasn't really a fit for former coach Fred Hoiberg's pace-and-space offense and isn't much of a defensive player - an area current coach Jim Boylen stresses.

Parker (6-8, 245) has averaged 14.3 points, 6.2 rebounds (tying his career high) and 2.2 assists in 39 games with the Bulls this season, posting five double-doubles while recording 20+ points nine times.
