Meghan's mother was the only member of her family to attend the royal wedding last May and even accompanied the Duchess to the the launch of the Together cookbook she supported with the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen.

Today marked her first official as patron to the charity, but she has been visiting them privately since autumn a year ago.

Duchess Meghan Markle made an official royal visit today (January 16) to an animal rescue organization and met with lots of volunteers and workers at the organization.

The Duchess was wearing a nude H&M dress that hugged her belly as well as an Armani coat and a pair of pumps. "May the good lord always bless you.And you're a fat lady!" Bursting into a fit of laughter, Duchess jokingly replied: "I'll take that!"

Meghan then sat down with the care home residents who told her how Mayhew helped them through pet therapy.

The charity is entirely funded by public donations, and works on improving the lives of dogs, cats and people in communities both in London and internationally.
