Capital murder charges filed in killing of Jazmine Barnes

Her 7-year-old daughter was shot to death in the backseat of her auto as she drove near the East Sam Houston Parkway and Wallisville Road Sunday morning.

"Investigators are continuing to pursue evidence that could possibly lead to other suspects being charged in this case", the Harris County Sheriff's Office statement said about the latest details of Black's arrest, CNN reported. Police say they identified the suspect based on a tip that was corroborated by their investigation.

A second suspect could be charged, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said in a statement released just after midnight Sunday.

Washington thanked both the celebrities who have raised awareness about the case and those who rallied today, saying that not only were they inspiring to her but also to her children, who are grappling with the death of their sibling.

Gonzalez retweeted posts as recently as Saturday of a composite sketch of a white man who was initially sought as a suspect in the case.

Jazmine died at the scene.

"The perpetrator doesn't have to be white or politically motivated for the community to wrap their arms around this family".

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said the support Jazmine's family received provided law enforcement "with a sense of urgency and made Jazmine's loved ones know they weren't alone in their time of grief". Prosecutors say he was driving the vehicle that pulled alongside the Barnes family auto and that someone else shot into the auto.

India have named two left-arm spinners - chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav and the orthodox Ravindra Jadeja in the final 13. Indian middle-order's contribution is also one of the biggest factors which makes India favourites to win the series.

The girl's mother, who was wounded, said before the arrest that she believed the shooting was possibly a hate crime. He says it's likely that the red pickup truck was the last thing seen by Jazmine's sisters before gunfire broke out.

"I have no tint on my windows or anything so you can see there is a mother-a black mother-with daughters, attractive children", Barnes's mother LaPorsha Washington, told CNN after the shooting.

Police say there is another suspect involved. Officials said Black later admitted to the shooting.

Washington and Jazmine's father, Chris Cevilla, said they remain hopeful that their daughter's killer will be found.

But Black, the man facing a charge of capital murder, is 20 years old and black. Authorities said the sketch depicted a white man in his 40s.
