Washington reportedly is setting its sights on another former San Francisco quarterback to backup Sanchez.

He has filed a grievance against National Football League team owners he claims conspired not to hire him because of his protests. "Do we want to go with a guy that's familiar with my terminology who we worked out last week. or go with a guy and teach, basically, a whole new kind of offense with new offensive linemen with a lot of the zone reads and all that stuff".

However, there is more concern beyond that with their quarterback situation with backup Colt McCoy now being out for the season with a broken leg.

Gruden's excuse is that Kaepernick wouldn't have time to get accustomed to a new system, although the same can be said for any quarterback on the market.

But. on "Monday Night Football" - the Redskins lost yet another starter when Colt McCoy broke his fibula - and now say Kaepernick's back in play.

Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame and Oklahoma chosen as final four teams
Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi has faced Clemson and Notre Dame and told ESPN there is "no comparison" between the two teams. The Crimson Tide struggled the majority of the game, trailing in the second half by as many as 14.

"This is a tough blow", Gruden said. Sanchez completed 13 of 21 passes for 100 yards and led a field goal drive to close the second quarter.

"Not that Colin can't do some of the things I'm talking about". Sanchez is 37-35 over the course of his eight-year career with 86 touchdowns and 87 interceptions.

Gruden said the Redskins would be bringing in a couple of unemployed quarterbacks for workouts later Tuesday and then would decide among them and those street free agents that tried out last month when Sanchez was signed. The 31-year-old hasn't even had a work out with a team this season, while other QBs like T.J. Yates, E.J. Manuel and Mark Sanchez have gotten calls.

When he limped to the sideline, he was having trouble putting weight on his leg, and he eventually made his way into the Redskins locker room, where an x-ray revealed he had a broken bone.
