The New 'Captain Marvel' Trailer Will Have You Wishing It Were March

After the post-credits scene in Avengers: Infinity War, in which Nick Fury pages Captain Marvel in the last frame of the movie, it's thought that she'll be the might that will take on (and presumably vanquish) Thanos.

The second trailer for Marvel Studios' "Captain Marvel", starring Brie Larson, dropped Monday, and we're already wishing it were March.

Newer reveals in the trailer include Annette Bening as the Kree who saved Danvers, a USA air force pilot, and invested her with the alien powers that turn her into Captain Marvel. The race of alien shape-shifters saw Earth as a key strategic vantage point in their war against the Kree. For now, it's all about the most powerful hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as this latest trailer shows her full-on powered up mode kicking some serious cosmic butt! Annette Bening appears as the Kree who rescued Danvers so she could live "longer, stronger, superior".

That trailer is incredible and, if you believe the rumours, there may be more to come from Marvel later this week.

Research activities of persons halted over gene-edited babies incident
He's announcement, which has not been verified, sparked an global outcry about the ethics and safety of such research. After the babies were born, the scientists tested their DNA to confirm the intended gene-editing occurred.

But here's where the big debate lies for the second Captain Marvel trailer: what color is Carol Danvers' blood?

In it, we get a better look at Samuel L Jackson as a young (er) Nick Fury, and an extended look at Danvers' backstory, and a whole hell of a lot of Jude Law. The Kree found her and made her into one of them. While we're still waiting for one of the dozens of rumors regarding the Avengers 4 trailer release date to ring true, we're distracting ourselves by figuring out which zodiac sign each MCU Avenger would be.

"Captain Marvel" will be the penultimate film of the MCU's third phase, capped by a fourth "Avengers" ensemble movie, due May 2019, in which Brie Larson is also scheduled to appear. It's just been locked away from her memory. She was indeed a Skrull, set to destroy Captain Marvel.

The studio also released a new poster.
