For Acronis partner Williams Racing, the year has been a challenging one but with preparations for 2019 long since underway, the team hopes to finish the season on a positive note before setting its sights on a more prosperous next season.

The prospect of five-time champion Hamilton and his team-mate Valtteri Bottas battling for victory against the Ferrari and Red Bull teams at a track where Mercedes have been unbeaten in the modern turbo-hybrid era is tantalising.

Fernando Alonso is leaving Formula One after Sunday's season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix but McLaren say they will not hesitate to seek his services again if needed. "There's fire. There's fire.Get me out".

"It's been a real honour and a privilege racing against Sebastian", he said.

"For me it was important to be linked to a manufacturer, so when I had the chance to go to Mercedes, I did not hesitate", Vandoorne continued.

Speaking to F1 interviewer Rosanna Tennant prior to the race, Smith elaborated on just how much being involved with Hamilton and Mercedes meant to him.

F1's mandatory and controversial "halo" device - the three-pronged safety design introduced to the sport for this year - meant Hulkenberg could not slide out of his vehicle.

"I'm hanging here like a cow", he said. "We've not delivered the results we needed in the last couple of races, which puts more emphasis on this weekend".

She says that she continues to "miss her" 21 years after her tragic death. They cost £20 each but the money raised always goes to a good cause.

"Outside, we used to play National Basketball Association 2K, or whatever it was, together every now and then".

"Listen, you're black, I'm black nobody gonna know the difference".

Hamilton added that he too had changed since 2007 and was now capable of coping with all of the demands and challenges thrown at him.

"There are lots of areas but I really wish them all the best". I was still maturing.

"I am sure that I will be able to contribute some new ideas". There's not really anything you can particularly throw at me that I can't handle. "But in 2020 I'm open for different things".

"That's what allows me to drive and handle myself and steer myself through the year the way I do".

Asked if there had been a delay in getting Hulkenberg out of his vehicle, Whiting said: "Not at all. Because I'm not going to look like an idiot!"

The 31-year-old German somersaulted through the air one-and-a-half times before landing the wrong way up after he collided with the Haas of Romain Grosjean through the right-handed Turn 9. I enjoyed catching him a little bit, but he controlled the race.
