The White House on Wednesday revoked the press pass issued to CNN correspondent Acosta "until further notice" after a tense interaction between United States President Donald Trump and Acosta.

The New York Times editorialized in favour of restoring Acosta's pass, saying it signalled Trump's view that asking hard questions disqualifies reporters from attending briefings.

Reporters don't get routine access to the Prime Minister's Office, but media credentials to access Parliament Hill are managed by the National Press Gallery, not the PMO.

Sanders, who hasn't said where the tweeted video came from, noted that it clearly shows Acosta made contact with the intern.

If the idea was to discredit the White House's condemnation of Acosta's atrocious behavior at Trump's press conference and its decision to yank his press pass, a "doctored tape" conspiracy theory would be a good way to do that.

Wednesday's performance was never about journalism, and the first clue to that is how few questions Acosta actually asks.

Al Tompkins and Kelly McBride, both faculty at the Poynter Institute in Florida, said Acosta's actions - which included challenging the president's answers to his questions - didn't "represent the best of journalism".

"What you said is so insulting to me", he said.

The Lion Air crash was the first involving the new version, which airlines introduced into service a year ago . Essentially the Boeing bulletin tells the pilots to follow the manual's instructions.

"I don't think he's a smart person, but he's got a loud voice", Trump added.

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway told "Fox and Friends" on November 8 "The reporter from NBC was already standing, getting ready to ask his question, and she was just doing her job, which was to reclaim the microphone that belongs to the federal government".

Sarah Huckabee Sanders later announced that they would be suspending Acosta's press credentials, sharing a video that appeared to show Acosta jerking his arm into the arm of the woman reaching for his mic. "When you report Fake News, which CNN does a lot, you are the enemy of the people".

Acosta later tweeted that his press credentials to the White House had been revoked. In fact, she asked the most pertinent question of the day.

"When I stood up, in his response, he tells me to 'sit down, ' in a condescending, very ugly matter", Ryan said. "You run CNN, and if you did it well, your ratings would be higher", Trump said. [President Trump's] personal insults are nothing new.

Even as Acosta is muttering these words, Trump begins to mock him: "Oh here we go".

On Friday, Trump said of Acosta, "He was not nice to that young woman". "He's a very unprofessional guy", Trump said.

When asked by a reporter on Friday "how long" he was "going to keep Jim Acosta in the penalty box", Trump replied, "I think Jim Acosta is a very unprofessional man". "That's not doctoring", Trump said, also telling the press, "Nobody manipulated it, give me a break".
