The WWE is hosting a major event in Saudi Arabia on Friday absent two of its biggest pro-wrestling stars.

- Another championship match is officially announced for tomorrow's WWE Crown Jewel event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

WWE said on Monday Night Raw that wrestler Bobby Lashley - who was managed by now-President Donald Trump during his 2007 Wrestlemania match - will step in for the West Newbury, Massachusetts native at the event.

This has been rumored for nearly as long as the Cena story, but PWInsider is saying that Bryan made it clear he wasn't making the trip, and that WWE began making alternate plans as of last week.

The original plan was for John Cena to face Rey Mysterio in the early round and the belief is that Mysterio would have beat Cena because they want to market Mysterio as a superhero.

Hulk Hogan's return to WWE at the Crown Jewel event is a pretty bold move and now WWE is making it more than official that not only is Hogan back in the WWE Universe - but they're gonna sell his merch again.

Hogan told the Orlando Sentinel how keen he was to join the WWE in Saudi Arabia.

Criticism from fans and politicians started because women were excluded from competition in an April event, then shifted and spread after writer Jamal Khashoggi was killed in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.
