An FBI bomb squad transported a suspicious package through the streets of NY early Thursday morning after it was sent to the Tribeca restaurant owned by actor Robert DeNiro.

The New York Times is reporting both suspicious packages contained explosive devices.

Police quickly rushed to the offices' location to evacuate the building, which was empty at the time, and inspect the package.

Two devices were sent to separate offices for Congresswoman Waters. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the former chair of the Democratic National Committee. She was a former chair of the Democratic Party.

The package was found "at the business residence of Robert De Niro", New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo tells NPR's David Greene. At the Tony Awards in June, the actor used an obscenity to insult the president.

President Donald Trump accused the media of stirring up "anger" Thursday as the United States reeled from a series of suspicious packages and pipe bombs sent to prominent Democrats and actor Robert De Niro. None of the suspect devices have gone off and the FBI are investigating who sent them.
