Sen. Rubio to Infowars host Jones: ‘Don’t touch me again’

Marco Rubio as he was being interviewed outside a Senate hearing examining the practices of Facebook and Twitter - with the senator at one point telling the conspiracy theorist he wouldn't call the cops because "I can take care of you myself".

The presenter, who has become infamous for his claims the Sandy Hook massacre did not happen, will not be able to create new accounts on the social media platform or take over existing ones. Twitter previously had suspended Jones for a week after he broke site rules against violent threats.

Despite that pressure, Twitter insisted that Jones and his website had not violated their terms.

"I don't know who you are, man", Rubio told Jones. You look like a possum that got caught doing some really nasty stuff - in my view. Rubio turns to face Jones directly. At the time, CEO Jack Dorsey said that Jones hadn't violated Twitter's policies but that the company would continue to monitor him and take action if he did so. Jones said Rubio "plays dumb" and imitated Rubio's laughter at him.

Jones' bread and butter is shouting over-the-top grievances and conspiracy theories in videos that he shares on social media, radio and his own websites.

The hearing was also attended by Jones, who said he came to highlight his deplatforming and "censorship" from other sites including Facebook and YouTube. According to BuzzFeed News, the social media platform relented on Thursday when, according to a spokesperson, the controversial figure and a cameraman from his outlet harassed a CNN reported on Capitol Hill.

Jon Kyl Appointment Latest Twist in Tumultuous Arizona Politics
Ducey says he received a lot of advice about naming McCain's successor, but kept coming back to one name: Jon Kyl. Arizona Republicans like Flake, AZGOP Chairman Jonathan Lines and others praised Ducey's decision to appoint Kyl.

After Jones protested, Rubio said, "I don't want to be touched".

Don't mess with US Senator Marco Rubio. From there, Jones describes Rubio as "snake-like" and calls him a "little frat boy". "Rubio just threatened to physically fight me". "You're not going to silence me". As Rubio spoke, Jones spoke over him.

Jones then put his hand on Rubio's shoulder. "I'm asking you not to touch me again".

Rubio repeatedly told Jones that he didn't know who he was.

The theories he has promoted include that the September 11, 2001 attacks on NY and Washington were staged by the U.S. government.
