Moto Z3 debuts with fingerprint scanner on the side, 5G mod

As for the 5G Moto Mod, Motorola says it'll be available early next year. Naturally, people are wondering when the next Moto Z will be announced. So, when 5G network go official - which is expected to happen in the first few months of 2019 - all the Moto Z3 users will be able to have access to the next-generation network. At least not this year.

Motorola partnered with Verizon to launch the phone, and the press release notes that Verizon will be the first to deliver 5G residential broadband service later this year, in four markets, including Houston, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and a city that hasn't been decided. Other than that, the Z3 also features a slightly more capable dual camera, with a second 12 MP sensor replacing the Z3 Play's 5 MP one. The Moto Z3 sports a 6.1-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, carrying a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels.

Matteo Darmian: I want to leave Man Utd
Versatile defender Darmian arrived at Old Trafford from Torino in 2015 for £12.7m but has failed to impress since. De Laurentiis said on Radio Kiss Kiss: "We have asked for Darmian on a loan with a right to sign next summer".

Now, for the new 5G Moto Mod. Just like the other Moto Z devices, the new Moto Z3 also supports Moto Mods. That promise has been fulfilled with the Moto Z3 family. The mod is likely specifically tuned for the Verizon network on the 28-GHz band, which would make it incompatible for use here in Australia - though we're happy to be corrected if Motorola Australia wants to launch it here. This battery won't be used to increase the longevity of the phone beyond normal 4G usage, but merely keep the 5G radios humming along, as they consume a lot of power. The phone also comes with a dual LED flash for better picture capture in low-light situations. Sadly the Moto Z3 lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack, but a USB Type-C to 3.5mm jack adapter is provided. Under flawless conditions in the lab, the 5G Moto Mod hit a peak speed of 3.5Gbps for downloads. The Moto Z3 comes in only one colour model - Ceramic Black. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery which is claimed to offer half a day's power in half an hour.

Verizon is now rolling out 5G residential broadband service in four United States markets: Houston, Los Angeles, Sacramento and one additional city to be announced soon. The handset also a side-facing fingerprint sensor - embedded on the right. In the trial, the pre-production 5G Mod achieved download speeds over 3Gbps, though it was very prone to slowdown when the signal blaster was blocked by objects. Motorola hasn't officially confirmed availability of the flagship smartphone in India yet. We at MSP Gear will certainly update our readers as and when new information about these smartphones is available.
