Heather Locklear Arrested for Attacking a Cop and an EMT

Only a couple of days after Heather Locklear was released from a three-day psychiatric hold, the actress was arrested for battery on a police officer.

The former Melrose Place actress was reportedly taken into custody on Sunday night just before midnight, according to TMZ.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office told ET that after Locklear was arrested for allegedly kicking an officer at her home, police wanted her to be evaluated due to her level of intoxication. She was taken to the hospital and then to jail, where she is now being held on $20,000 bail.

Last week, Locklear was hospitalized after reportedly threatening to commit suicide amid fears her fiancée Chris Heisser was cheating on her.

This is the second time the actress was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer. She has pleaded not guilty in that case, which remains pending.

Sheriff's deputies responded to two separate calls to Locklear's residence in Thousand Oaks, California. At the time, sources close to her said that she was "spiraling out of control".

Locklear checked into a rehabilitation facility in the wake of that arrest, during which she was allegedly intoxicated. Authorities say she attacked four deputies called to her home because of a dispute with her boyfriend.

The 56-year-old actress was among the biggest television stars of the 1980s and 1990s, with roles on "Dynasty", "T.J". During their examination, police said she kicked the EMT assisting her. She threatened to shoot herself, and attacked her parents. They attempted to get her away from her friends and family, with whom she was arguing.
