Leaked Images, Price and Specifications Ahead of BlackBerry KEY2 Launch

Blackberry KEY2 is the next smartphone from the company that we are all set to get later this week.

Price and availability details of the BlackBerry KEY2 are likely to be announced at the time of its official launch that is happening tomorrow in New York City. With only a few days to go before its official announcement on June 7, we are now getting more renders of the handset.

Evan Blass has tweeted the renders on his twitter account. The phone is said to arrive with a physical keyboard, dual camera on the back and texture back.

For shutterbugs, dual rear cameras with a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor are expected. Recently, BlackBerry had already released a teaser where they revealed several details about the hardware structure of the product, including the dual camera.

Microsoft in Talks to Buy GitHub
Microsoft declined to comment, and GitHub representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. Rumors have been circulating for a few days that Microsoft has been in discussions to acquire GitHub.

The back of the BlackBerry KEY2 also seems to have distinct diamond pattern for added grip for holding the smartphone.

While talking about the fingerprint scanner, the Key2 is expected to house the biometric sensors on the spacebar of the keyboard like its predecessor. The display is a 4.5-incher with an old-school 3:2 aspect ratio (1080x1620px resolution) protected by Gorilla Glass 3 layer.

If earlier rumours are to be believed, the incoming BlackBerry Key2 will also feature a 4.5in 1080x16020 touchscreen, 6GB RAM, 64GB built-in storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD, a 3,360mAh battery and Android 8.1. Let us know in the comments section below. Lastly, those hoping for a 3.5mm headphone jack are in luck, with the connector present on the top of the smartphone. Android Oreo is the software that the Blackberry key2 will come bundled with.

As per Evan Blass, the BlackBerry KEY2 will be priced at $649 in the USA, €649 in Europe, £579 in the United Kingdom and $829 in Canada. This could of course change, but luckily we won't have to wait long to find out.
