Giuliani says Trump ''d no Comprehension' of Cohen's Business clients

President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudolph Giuliani said Friday that he would not debate the attorney representing porn star Stephanie Clifford, better known as Stormy Daniels, because he doesn't keep company with "pimps".

Quinn did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

The email comes at a critical time for AT&T.

The letter said that while the deal with Cohen was "done according to the law" and was "entirely legitimate", the association with Cohen was "a serious misjudgment".

AT&T was one of multiple companies Cohen approached after the election. "They didn't get the result they wanted", he said.

"In this instance", he continued, "our Washington, D.C., team's vetting process clearly failed, and I take responsibility for that".

He added that Cohen does not deserve what is happening to him.

Clifford claims that she had an affair with Trump in 2006, and was paid $130,000 by Trump's attorney and fixer Michael Cohen to stay silent.

A source familiar told CNN earlier this week that Cohen had a one-year $1.2 million contract with the company in exchange for access to the White House on health care policy.

The company says Cohen approached them following the 2016 election. The Justice Department filed suit a year ago seeking to block the deal, and a judge is expected to rule on the matter in June.

Meanwhile, Facebook has tried to keep its ad revenue growing through newer, younger platforms like WhatsApp and Instagram . Another result of the shift is that Facebook now has a team dedicated to researching blockchain technology.

"Companies often hire consultants for these purposes, especially at the beginning of a new presidential administration, and we have done so in previous administrations, as well", the company said in the email. Within Time Warner this week, officials were surprised to learn about the contract with Essentials Consulting. AT&T said it would not disclose the names of the other people and firms hired.

AT&T's ties to Cohen have prompted questions from USA lawmakers about whether AT&T sought to influence the government's independent merger review. Quinn, who began working at AT&T in the 1980s, is well connected in the political circles of both parties. The group will now report directly to the firm's top in-house lawyer.

The company said it was contacted by investigators with special counsel Robert Mueller and provided "all information requested in November and December of 2017".

Cohen's work for AT&T did not appear to meet that definition, Noble said.

Novartis said this week it had also spoken with Mueller's team about the payments to Cohen.

The disclosure of AT&T's relationship with Cohen has turned into a major embarrassment for the telecommunications company as it awaits a United States judge's decision, due on June 12, on whether it can go through with the purchase of Time Warner, a deal that has been denounced by Trump.

It was unclear if Giuliani misspoke, but his comment on its face would validate an argument that AT&T-Time Warner tried to advance before a recent six-week antitrust trial - that they were singled out for antitrust enforcement by the Justice Department because Trump didn't want it. AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson has said that the "elephant in the room" in the Justice Department's lawsuit is Trump's influence.

"Cohen's corporate clients had business pending before the Trump administration", he said.

Giuliani is also a former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of NY, which is the office now investigating Cohen's business dealings.
