Stormy Daniels Lawyer: Russian Oligarch Paid Trump Lawyer Half A Million Dollars

The attorney for Stormy Daniels - the porn star who received $130,000 to keep quiet about an alleged affair she had with Trump a decade ago - produced information on Tuesday evening.

The firm in question, Columbus Nova, has now accepted that the payment was made, but said it was a consultancy fee and claimed that Vekselberg had no involvement in it. In addition, a review of documents and interviews shed additional light on Mr. Cohen's dealings with the company connected to Mr. Vekselberg, who was stopped and questioned at an airport earlier this year by investigators for Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel examining Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Last week, one of Trump's lawyers, Rudy Giuliani, said that the president had reimbursed Cohen for the payment, contradicting Trump's previous statements that he had been unaware of the arrangement with Daniels.

Novartis said its interactions with Essential Consultants were focused "on USA health care policy matters". The Treasury had declined Avenatti's request to release those documents, Avenatti told MSNBC.

Finally, Avenatti's report suggests that payments were made to Essential Consultants from Viktor Vekselberg, a Russian oligarch whose company has been sanctioned by the us due to Russia's involvement in the 2016 presidential election and the country's actions in Crimea.

Through his taxi company, Cohen and his wife had loans worth as much as $12.8 million to Sterling National Bank that had been extended in 2014.

Even so, because the contract "could only be terminated for cause", the pharmaceutical conglomerate continued paying Cohen a total of about $1.2 million.

Avenatti also made allegations that a company connected to a Russian oligarch sent $500,000 past year to Cohen's business.

Apple isn't explaining what the specific fault is, but it looks to have been triggered by the upgrade to iOS 11 .3. The bug reportedly affects the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models, and causes the phone to glitch during phone calls.

On Wednesday, the Dallas-based company sent out an email to employees to explain its connections to Cohen, who has referred to himself as Trump's "fix-it guy". Cohen set up Essential Consultants in October, 2016.

Two people familiar with Mueller's probe told The Post that the special counsel is investigating whether foreign money helped fund Trump's inauguration.

AT&T is trying to acquire CNN's parent company, Time Warner.

The memo from Avenatti states that Cohen's account received roughly $500,000 in payments from Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg between January and August 2017.

Reasons for the payments varied from insight into the Trump administration to help with USA accounting rules.

The stakes are sky-high for Cohen, who is now under a federal criminal investigation by the USA attorney's office in Manhattan and had his home, hotel room and office raided last month.

The Swiss drugmaker has said it has been cooperating with all investigations-including the Cohen probe-and that it's cracking down on compliance problems.
