Ken Jeong's Medical Training Comes in Handy During Show

The star of the late ABC sitcom "Dr. Ken" was on stage and in the middle of a comedy set at Phoenix's Stand Up Live on Saturday (May 5) when a woman in the third row began having seizures, according to TMZ.

"A woman had a medical emergency during the show. It was such flawless timing: Ken just jumped from the stage to help", another audience member, Heather Holmberg, told USA Today of the incident. Jeong appeared to think he was being heckled initially when the commotion started, then quickly responded when audience members let him know what was going on.

It may seem too lucky to be true, but the Hangover star's heroic gestures weren't part of his act - though he no longer practices, Jeong graduated with a medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in 1995.

Sharks slide to edge of elimination with Game 5 loss
Now they've got less than 48 hours to get everything corrected if they want to keep their season alive. The line of Hertl, Logan Couture and Boedker was the most effective unit for the Sharks in Game 5.

Once he realised the woman needed aid Jeong jumped from the stage and assisted her, along with an EMT who was also in the audience. "It was a moment where time stands still. There was a hush over the room", she told USAToday.

Comedic actor Ken Jeong reportedly called on his training as an actual physician this weekend to help a fan. Both Jeong and the emergency medical technician stayed with the woman until paramedics arrived at the scene and took her away in an ambulance.

Comedian Ken Jeong didn't just play a doctor on TV.
