Kanye West says slavery 'sounds like a choice'

Kanye West admits in a new video that he doesn't agree with "half the shit" President Donald Trump does, but still finds him "inspiring" for breaking the mold.

"Me putting the hat on forces an evolution", Kanye says at one point. "Now its like "Oh I can wear this hat too".

In the interview, Kanye also opens up on his decision to wear one of Trump's "Make America Great Again" caps - describing it as a fight for equality. Y'know, there'll be mistakes, there'll be flaws the way I communicate today, because we're human beings, we're flawed.

"The same person who sat down with me and my mom, I think should have communicated with me directly".

Nevertheless, 40-year-old West insisted Tuesday, "Trump is one of rap's favorite people".

Then, Kanye offered his thoughts on slavery.
