NFL Draft: How much will Baltimore Ravens use Lamar Jackson this year?

"What happened in that draft room today was a masterpiece", Harbaugh said.

Immediately following the draft, Hurst would be en route to Baltimore to meet with Ravens officials.

Newsome will step aside following the season to be replaced by assistant general manager Eric DeCosta.

Through the months leading up to the draft, Jackson was compared to the other four quarterbacks, Josh Alen, Josh Rosen, Baker Mayfield, and Sam Darnold, who were expected to go in the first round.

Ravens officials insisted Joe Flacco remains their starter and cautioned anyone from jumping to conclusions that Jackson would soon replace the Super Bowl-winning quarterback. "This doesn't really change things in a sense that we're going to go with Joe and he's going to roll".

He did just that. I will say though at the end, the very last pick, I would say that Ozzie did get emotional.

Known for trading back to acquire picks, sticking to his board, and making a splash when needed, Newsome reminded us all why he's one of the greatest to ever do it.

"Yes, it was emotional", he acknowledged.

"I don't know, but that helped us make the trade because we felt there's a cluster of guys that were together for us". This may have been Newsome's final draft, but his work is not done.

"It's hard to find a willing partner to make a trade, so you go through all the scenarios", Roseman said.

Mike Pompeo Confirmation a 'Pro-Life' and 'Religious Freedom' Victory
In all six Democrats voted to confirm Pompeo to be the next secretary of state, in addition to Independent Senator Angus King. Pompeo would then race to a plane waiting to take him to Belgium for a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation meeting.

Newsome was at his finest this week.

The Cincinnati Bengals gave some fans the impression that they were considering taking Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson.

This could potentially be Flacco's final season in Baltimore.

Offensive tackle Orlando Brown and tight end Mark Andrews were both selected in the third round by the NFL's Baltimore Ravens.

Bates was one of the top safeties available in the draft, so this one will cut Steelers Nation deep, while Hubbard provides a lot of versatility and athleticism to a loaded EDGE group in Cincinnati. Each was made with intense consideration, as always.

Newsome succinctly said, "It was nice". But YOU, the people, are the real judges right now. "Even though it's a finality with that, it's not finality with what we'll continue to do for the Baltimore Ravens".

Jackson, the 2016 Heisman Trophy victor, became the the only player in FBS history to rush for at least 1,500 yards and pass for at least 3,500 yards in a season. The Ravens draft could potentially build a functional offense for the future and the Ravens didn't do that for Flacco.

Speaking of receivers, the Ravens have done extensive work revamping that position, adding one of the league's top red zone threats (Michael Crabtree), a deep threat with insane wheels (John Brown), and an underrated possession guy (Willie Snead). In the seventh round, Newsome again tapped his alma mater, selecting Alabama center Bradley Bozeman. At some point, the Ravens will have to turn to hope.

The Ravens made a decision on Thursday to add more explosiveness to their future offense.

"We also had probably 4 or 5 players that we liked at that spot [16], and then the trade came in", Newsome said.
